Cody Byrd

Cody is an associate attorney who practices in the areas of worker's compensation, civil and commercial litigation, and insurance defense. Cody's previous experience includes working for a workers compensation defense firm and an employment defense firm representing employers in various case types such as discrimination matters.  His experience also includes slip and falls, auto accidents, breach of contract, and products liability in both state and federal courts.

He obtained his undergraduate degree in History at the University of Cincinnati.  Cody went on to receive his law degree from the Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law.  While in law school, Cody was selected to participate in the law school's Constitutional Law Clinic, where the eight-student team obtained Student Practice Licenses from the Ohio Supreme Court and represented various inmates throughout the Ohio prisons and correctional facilities advocating for accommodations under the Eighth Amendment.

Cody was born in northern Kentucky but spent most of his life in north-central Kansas. He currently resides in Lee's Summit, Missouri with his wife, Yanira, their daughter, Giselle, as well as their two cats and two dogs. In his free time, Cody enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, playing with their animals, playing guitar, working out, reading thriller fiction, and working on his Camaro.
